Dalaman Airport is the closest airport to Fethiye and Göcek, and it stays open all winter. What changes after October is how often flights land and how you get from the terminal to town. This guide covers the airport bus run by MUTTAŞ, its stops, fares and times for winter 2026-27, and the other options: taxi, transfer and hire car.

Quick facts

– **Operator:** MUTTAŞ, the transport company of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality (Muğla Büyükşehir Belediyesi) – **Line:** 48-25 Fethiye Otogar – Dalaman Havalimanı – **Fethiye end:** Fethiye Otogar (the main bus station) – **Fares:** 300 TL Fethiye Otogar – Dalaman Airport; 220 TL Göcek – Dalaman Airport (VAT included, tariff valid from 18 May 2026) – **Payment:** credit cards are accepted on all MUTTAŞ vehicles – **Booking:** no reservations or advance tickets; you simply board – **To the airport:** fixed departures from Fethiye Otogar, published day by day – **From the airport:** times depend on flight landing times – **Route length:** 55 km, according to MUTTAŞ – **Timetable:** [MUTTAŞ line 48-25 page](https://ulasim.muttas.com.tr/hat/48-25-fethiye-otogar-dalaman-havalimani-439)

Step 1: Check which flights fly in winter

Flight numbers fall sharply in winter. Many summer routes to Dalaman are seasonal, and some airlines stop flying to the airport between late October and spring. Before you book, check the airline’s own schedule for your exact dates rather than relying on last summer’s routes or forum posts. Expat groups often discuss route cuts, but confirm any change with the airline itself.

If no direct flight suits you, a common alternative is a connection through Istanbul on a domestic flight. That matters for the bus too, as explained below.

Before you fly, read our guide to entry requirements, passports and visas for Türkiye. If you are bringing a phone bought abroad for a long stay, see our IMEI registration guide.

Step 2: Understand the MUTTAŞ airport bus

The shuttle between Fethiye and Dalaman Airport is a public service run by MUTTAŞ, the transport company of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality. Its line number is **48-25**, and it runs between **Fethiye Otogar** and **Dalaman Havalimanı**. MUTTAŞ runs a similar line, 48-26, between Marmaris Otogar and the airport. Havaş has also run departures from Fethiye Otogar to the airport in the past: a February 2025 timetable shared by residents listed Havaş and MUTTAŞ departures side by side. If you want a Havaş bus, check Havaş’s own schedule as well.

The bus does not go into Dalaman town or Ortaca. Its stops are on the main road between Fethiye and the airport.

**Stops from Fethiye to the airport**, as listed by MUTTAŞ:

1. Fethiye Otogar 2. Günlükbaşı (in front of the old Pamukkale office) 3. Opposite the Citroën dealer 4. Çalış Kavşağı (the ring-road junction) 5. Çiftlik Kavşağı 6. Acarlar, opposite Opet 7. Yanıklar, opposite Kardeşler Market 8. Göcek BP stop 9. Göcek, opposite Petrol Ofisi

On the way back from the airport the bus stops at Göcek Petrol Ofisi, Göcek BP, Yanıklar (A101 stop), Acarlar Opet, Çiftlik Kavşağı, the Volkswagen-Citroën dealers, Günlükbaşı (opposite the police station and at Shell), Renar and finally Fethiye Otogar.

If you live in Çalış, Günlükbaşı or along the Göcek road, you may not need to go into the Otogar at all.

Step 3: Check the fare and how to pay

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality’s airport lines tariff, in force from **18 May 2026** with VAT included, sets these fares:

– **Fethiye Otogar – Dalaman Havalimanı: 300 TL** – **Göcek – Dalaman Havalimanı: 220 TL**

MUTTAŞ states that credit cards are accepted on all of its vehicles. Carrying some Turkish lira as a backup is sensible, but MUTTAŞ does not state on the line page whether cash is accepted. You cannot reserve a seat or buy a ticket in advance.

Step 4: Going from Fethiye to the airport

Buses to the airport leave Fethiye Otogar at set times. MUTTAŞ publishes the timetable day by day, and it changes from one day to the next. As an example, the line page showed these departures from Fethiye Otogar for the last weekend of October 2026:

– **Saturday 31 October 2026:** 04:00, 07:30, 13:00, 16:00, 18:30 – **Sunday 1 November 2026:** 06:30, 08:00, 13:00, 15:30, 19:00

Some early departures carry an information note on the timetable, so read the notes for your day.

These times are examples only. Check the [line 48-25 timetable](https://ulasim.muttas.com.tr/hat/48-25-fethiye-otogar-dalaman-havalimani-439) on the day before you travel and again on the day. MUTTAŞ warns that times can change because of bad weather, traffic, breakdowns, accidents, or flight changes and cancellations, and posts the changes on its site.

With only four or five departures a day in the examples above, choose a bus that gets you to the airport comfortably before check-in closes, not the one that arrives just in time.

Step 5: Going from the airport to Fethiye

The return journey works differently. MUTTAŞ does not publish fixed times from the airport: it says return times "vary with the landing times of the aircraft". The bus is timed to arriving flights.

MUTTAŞ’s line page states that its vehicles meet passengers arriving on **domestic** flights at landing times. Dalaman has two terminals: the older one handles domestic flights and the newer one international flights. If you arrive on an international flight, ask at the information desk where the MUTTAŞ bus is waiting before you leave the terminal, because the line page does not say how international arrivals are served.

In practice:

1. Collect your bags and go out through the arrivals exit. 2. Look for the MUTTAŞ bus or its stop. 3. Pay by card when you board. 4. Tell the driver if you want to get off before the Otogar, for example in Göcek or Çalış.

If your flight is very late or diverted, do not assume the bus will wait. Have the number of a taxi or transfer company ready.

Step 6: Taxi or private transfer

Taxis wait outside the terminals. We could not find an official published taxi tariff for the airport-to-Fethiye journey, so we do not quote a price here. Ask for the fare to your address before you set off, and ask whether you can pay by card.

Private transfer companies also run the route and can be booked in advance, which helps on late-night arrivals in winter. Agree the price, the pick-up point and what happens if your flight is delayed before you pay.

Step 7: Hire car and the Göcek tunnel

Car hire desks operate at the airport. The main road from Dalaman to Fethiye passes through the **Göcek tunnel**, which is a toll tunnel with a toll booth run by its operator, Göcek Tüneli İşletmesi. It was still tolled in August 2026. We could not confirm the current fee from an official source, so check the toll at the booth or with your hire company. Ask the hire company how tolls are charged to you, and see our guide to HGS tolls in Türkiye.

There is a toll-free alternative: the old road over the Göcek pass (Göcek rampaları), which climbs to about 800 metres. It is narrow and winding, so in winter rain or darkness the tunnel is the easier choice.
