AJet, the low-cost subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, will open direct flights between Germany and two of Türkiye’s main southwest Aegean airports in the 2027 summer season, aviation news site haber.aero reported on Tuesday.

The plan covers five routes from Dalaman Airport, the gateway for Fethiye, Göcek and Marmaris, and three from Milas-Bodrum Airport. Each route will be operated twice a week in both directions, giving a combined 16 weekly round trips.

Five German cities from Dalaman

From Dalaman, AJet will fly to Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Hannover and Munich, with services due to start in April 2027. The Bodrum flights, to Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Stuttgart, are scheduled to begin in July 2027, according to the report.

AJet already operates direct international flights from Milas-Bodrum during the summer season, and the new programme brings Dalaman into that network. The airline says nonstop services will cut journey times compared with connecting itineraries via Istanbul or Ankara and improve international access to both regions.

For residents and second-home owners in the Fethiye area, the Dalaman routes add another nonstop option to Germany from the airport closest to the town. Germany is one of the largest source markets for the Turkish coast, alongside Russia and the United Kingdom, as recent figures on Antalya’s foreign visitors show.

What it means for the Muğla coast

Dalaman and Milas-Bodrum both serve Muğla province, whose resorts depend heavily on a summer season that runs roughly from May to October. Direct flights from German regional hubs such as Hannover and Stuttgart widen the catchment beyond the largest cities, which tourism officials have long sought in order to lengthen the season.

The report said the new routes are expected to support tourism in Marmaris, Fethiye and Göcek and to increase traffic between Türkiye and Germany in both directions, including Turkish-origin residents of Germany visiting family.

The announcement comes as Turkish carriers expand capacity for next summer. Airports nationwide handled about 193 million passengers in the first nine months of 2026, according to state airport operator data, while rival low-cost carrier Pegasus has already opened 2027 summer sales.

Ticket prices and exact launch dates for each route were not given in the report. Travellers should check AJet’s own booking channels once schedules are loaded.
