State energy company BOTAŞ has published updated monthly natural gas consumption limits for residential subscribers for November and December 2026, covering all 81 provinces, Anadolu Agency (AA) and the ANKA news agency reported. The full table was posted as a document on the BOTAŞ website.
Under Türkiye’s tiered (kademeli) residential gas tariff, households that use more gas in a month than the limit set for their province are charged at a higher price for the extra consumption, according to the reports.
Limits in the largest cities
The BOTAŞ table sets the following monthly limits, in standard cubic metres:
– Istanbul: 136.01 in November and 259.35 in December – Ankara: 283.78 in November and 420.00 in December – İzmir: 67.97 in November and 196.23 in December
Antalya, Muğla and other provinces
According to the BOTAŞ table, the limit in Antalya is 41.86 cubic metres for November and 157.94 for December. In Muğla province, which includes Fethiye, Bodrum and Marmaris, the limits are 189.74 for November and 318.59 for December.
Other provinces in the table include Aydın (86.42 and 206.50), Denizli (128.03 and 260.93), Bursa (183.30 and 281.66) and Kocaeli (136.71 and 231.09). Erzurum, in eastern Türkiye, has limits of 507.05 cubic metres for November and 696.94 for December, the highest of the provinces listed here.
How the limits are set
The heading of the BOTAŞ document says the limits are set at 75 percent above average monthly consumption by residential users in each province. AA reported that the province-by-province figures take account of climate conditions and past consumption data.
Households also face changes to electricity support: from 2027, the subsidised electricity consumption limit for homes will be cut, as set out by the energy regulator EPDK.
