Three Borsa Istanbul-listed companies filed third-quarter 2026 results with the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on Wednesday evening, with telecoms operator Türk Telekom beating analyst forecasts, Sabancı Holding reporting a sharp rise in quarterly profit and insurer Türkiye Sigorta unexpectedly posting a loss.
Türk Telekom: profit above forecasts despite annual fall
Türk Telekom reported net profit of 7.68 billion lira for July to September, above the average analyst forecast of about 6.7 billion lira, CNBC-e and Bloomberg HT reported. The figure was around 42 percent lower than a year earlier, mainly because of higher financing expenses, according to Bloomberg HT and Hibya news agency.
Consolidated revenue rose 11.9 percent year on year to 86.4 billion lira, while EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) increased 6.9 percent to 37 billion lira, Foreks and Hibya reported. The EBITDA margin narrowed to 42.9 percent from 44.9 percent, according to Bloomberg HT and Hibya.
For the first nine months of the year, Türk Telekom’s net profit fell 6.8 percent to 25.79 billion lira from 27.68 billion lira, CNBC-e and Ekotürk said.
Sabancı Holding: quarterly profit nearly five times higher
Sabancı Holding’s net profit attributable to the parent company was 4.26 billion lira in the third quarter, up from 880.6 million lira a year earlier, Foreks, Ekotürk and Bloomberg HT reported.
In the first nine months, the group posted parent net profit of 19.57 billion lira, compared with a net loss of 1.02 billion lira in the same period of 2025, according to Foreks, Ekotürk and CNBC-e. Nine-month revenue fell about 17 percent to 915 billion lira, Foreks and Bloomberg HT said.
Türkiye Sigorta: quarterly loss against expected profit
Türkiye Sigorta recorded a consolidated net loss of 5.42 billion lira in the third quarter, CNBC-e and Borsanın Gündemi reported, compared with a profit of about 5 billion lira in the same quarter last year, according to Borsanın Gündemi and Foreks. Analysts had expected a quarterly profit of around 6.5 billion lira, according to CNBC-e and Paratic.
The insurer’s nine-month net profit stood at 8.08 billion lira, CNBC-e, Foreks and Borsanın Gündemi said, about 44 percent lower than a year earlier, according to Foreks and Banka Dünyası. Gross premium production rose 28 percent to 134.6 billion lira over the nine months, Foreks and Banka Dünyası reported.
