President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will pay a visit to South Korea from 1 to 4 November 2026, Communications Director Burhanettin Duran announced on Sunday in a statement on social media, as reported by Haberler.com, Sabah and Konhaber.
The visit to the capital Seoul is taking place at the invitation of South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, according to the announcement.
Official talks on Tuesday
The two presidents are scheduled to hold official talks on Tuesday, 3 November, the reports said. The discussions are expected to cover all aspects of the strategic partnership between Türkiye and South Korea, and the leaders will also exchange views on current regional and global issues.
Several agreements are due to be signed during the visit with the aim of strengthening the legal framework of bilateral relations, Duran said. The documents to be signed were not named in the announcement.
The Seoul trip follows a busy diplomatic week in which Erdoğan hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Istanbul, where the two leaders discussed Black Sea security and the grain corridor.
