The operating rights for the Tazı Canyon day-use area in Manavgat, Antalya, are being put out to tender again, this time for 10 years, the local news site Akdeniz Gerçek reported on Sunday, citing the DHA news agency.
The tender is being held by the Agriculture and Forestry Ministry’s General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks for Köprülü Canyon National Park. The facility falls under the directorate’s Antalya branch.
Starting price of 9.1 million lira a year
The contract will run for 10 years, structured as 5+5 years. The estimated annual value, which serves as the starting point for bids, is 9,096,693.80 lira, and bidders must put up a provisional guarantee of 10%, or 909,669.38 lira.
The tender will take place on Wednesday 11 November 2026 at 14:00 in the 22nd-floor meeting hall of the directorate’s headquarters in Yenimahalle, Ankara. It will be held under Article 35 of the State Tender Law (No. 2886) with sealed bids, which must be handed in by the time of the tender. To take part, bidders need at least one year of experience running a tourism-licensed facility or a day-use recreation area.
Municipality won the last round
According to the report, the previous tender for the site was held on 11 June 2024. Manavgat Municipality won it with the highest bid of 13.2 million lira, for a two-year right of use. The report did not say why the site is being tendered again, and it did not give the size of the area or name any official. The 2026 starting figure of about 9.1 million lira is an annual amount, so over the full 10-year term the estimated value of the contract would come to roughly 91 million lira before any bidding above the estimate, while the 2024 winning bid of 13.2 million lira covered two years of use.
The tender comes amid mixed signals for the tourism sector: our recent reports covered nine-month foreign arrival figures for Antalya and a fall in hotel employment across Türkiye.
