Türkiye’s state housing agency TOKİ (Toplu Konut İdaresi) will put 725 plots of land in 61 provinces up for public auction on Thursday and Friday, 5-6 November, Anadolu Agency (AA) reported on Wednesday. The sale was first announced in October, when Diken and Taşınmaz Haber reported that the plots cover a combined 3,450,367 square metres with an estimated value of about 29.1 billion lira.
Auctions in Ankara and Istanbul
Bidding starts at 10:30 on both days. The auctions will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ankara and at TOKİ’s service building in Halkalı, Istanbul, according to Diken and Taşınmaz Haber. AA and Diken said bids can also be submitted online.
The 61 provinces include Istanbul, Ankara and İzmir as well as Antalya, Muğla, Aydın, Mersin, Balıkesir and Çanakkale on the coast, AA and Diken reported. The list also covers Adana, Sakarya, Kocaeli, Tekirdağ, Eskişehir, Konya, Kayseri, Gaziantep, Samsun and Trabzon, among others.
The plots are zoned for a wide range of uses, including housing, commerce, tourism, education, agriculture, industry, sport, recreation, storage, fuel stations, logistics and afforestation, while some are unplanned land, according to AA and Diken.
Down payment and 48-month instalments
For plots offered on instalment terms, buyers can pay a down payment of 20% or 25% and spread the remainder over 48 months, AA and Diken reported. Some plots are sold for cash only. Buyers who pay the full price up front for a plot that is offered on instalments receive a 15% discount, both outlets said.
TOKİ gives further details on its website and on the information line 444 84 34, AA reported.
