Türkiye’s Energy and Natural Resources Ministry held the YEKA GES-2026 solar power competitions on Tuesday, 3 November, allocating 785 megawatts (MW) of grid capacity across 11 projects in nine provinces, Anadolu Agency (via Haberler.com), Enerji Günlüğü and Ege Lobisi reported. YEKA stands for Renewable Energy Resource Areas, the state tender scheme for large wind and solar plants. According to Anadolu Agency and Enerji Günlüğü, 19 companies took part.

The solar round follows the YEKA RES-2026 wind competitions for 1,500 MW held earlier.

Every project went at the floor price

Bidding started with sealed financial offers and then moved to an open auction, with a participation fee of 2,000 euros, Anadolu Agency and Ege Lobisi reported. The ceiling price was 5.50 euro cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh) and the floor price 3.25 euro cents.

In all 11 projects the electricity price fell to the 3.25-cent floor, after which companies competed by offering a contribution fee per megawatt, according to Anadolu Agency, Enerji Günlüğü and Ege Lobisi. Winning contributions ranged from 12,000 euros per MW for the 30 MW Ankara-2 project to 91,000 euros per MW for the 55 MW Malatya-1 project. Added together, the winning offers come to about 31.6 million euros, a figure also given by Manşet Haber.

Who won

Egesa Elektrik İnşaat Enerji Üretim won three projects in the southeast: Diyarbakır (200 MW, 16,000 euros per MW), Mardin-2 (120 MW, 18,000 euros) and Batman (25 MW, 36,000 euros). Together these account for 345 MW, or about 44% of the capacity on offer, Manşet Haber noted.

Two Temmuz Güneş companies took Denizli (30 MW, 60,000 euros per MW), Kahramanmaraş-2 (85 MW, 60,000 euros) and Kahramanmaraş-3 (50 MW, 74,000 euros).

The other winners, according to Anadolu Agency, Enerji Günlüğü and Ege Lobisi, were:

– Konya (110 MW): İş Enerji Yatırımları, 64,000 euros per MW – Malatya-1 (55 MW): Ezel Mensucat, 91,000 euros per MW – Ankara-1 (40 MW): Erser Grup Tarım Ürünleri, 22,000 euros per MW – Ankara-2 (30 MW): İklim İnvest Enerji ve Teknoloji Yatırımları, 12,000 euros per MW – Elazığ (40 MW): Ecogreen Elektrik Enerji Üretim, 36,000 euros per MW

The number of applications varied from seven for Denizli to two for Elazığ, with 44 applications in total across the 11 projects, Anadolu Agency reported.
