Hotels and other licensed accommodation in Türkiye were 62.31% full on average in September 2026, up from 61.1% in September 2025, according to Ministry of Culture and Tourism figures reported by Döviz.com and Turizm Güncel. Antalya had the highest occupancy of any province at 86.26%, followed by Aydın and Muğla, the figures reported by Döviz.com, Ekotürk and Turizm Ekonomi show.
Facilities recorded 12,391,235 guest arrivals and 33,451,967 overnight stays in September, with an average stay of 2.70 nights. Foreign guests accounted for about 65.5% of overnights, Döviz.com and Ekotürk reported.
Antalya, Aydın and Muğla lead
In Antalya, foreign guests alone filled 72.66% of capacity and domestic guests 13.60%. The province recorded 15,991,837 overnights, close to half of the national total, with an average stay of 3.68 nights.
Aydın, which includes the resorts of Kuşadası and Didim, came second at 70.52%, with 1,123,049 overnights. Muğla, home to Bodrum, Marmaris and Fethiye, reached 64% occupancy with 1,586,352 arrivals and 4,354,392 overnights.
Istanbul hotels were 63.20% full, with 4,812,155 overnights, while İzmir stood at 45.42%, according to Ekotürk and Turizm Ekonomi.
The lowest rates were in Yalova (20.70%), Bilecik (20.97%), Aksaray (21.15%) and Düzce (21.24%).
Five-star hotels and the nine-month total
Five-star hotels averaged 80.51% occupancy in September, with 13,544,214 overnights, and four-star hotels 69.39%. Across all star-rated hotels the rate was 72.11%.
From January to September, average occupancy was 48.90%. Facilities recorded 84,383,350 arrivals and 215,008,846 overnights, of which 125,412,569 were by foreign guests and 89,596,277 by domestic guests, for an average stay of 2.55 nights.
