Planned power cuts will affect parts of more than a dozen Istanbul districts on Saturday, 7 November, according to outage schedules published by Genç Gazete and Türkiye Gazetesi. Most of the work is on the European side, where cuts are run by BEDAŞ (Boğaziçi Elektrik Dağıtım), and the majority of the listed outages last from 09:00 to 17:00.
BEDAŞ operates the electricity distribution grid on Istanbul’s European side, while AYEDAŞ covers the Anatolian (Asian) side. Planned cuts are announced in advance for maintenance and network work and usually affect specific streets rather than an entire neighbourhood.
Full-day cuts on the European side
Both outlets list the following outages from 09:00 to 17:00:
- Avcılar: Denizköşkler
- Bağcılar: Yenimahalle
- Bayrampaşa: Muratpaşa
- Beylikdüzü: Adnan Kahveci
- Eyüpsultan: Merkez, İslambey and Rami Yeni
- Gaziosmanpaşa: Karlıtepe
- Silivri: Selimpaşa and Kavaklı

In Güngören, the schedule starts early: parts of Akıncılar and Güven are listed from 07:30 to 11:30, with a further cut in Güven from 08:00 to 12:00. In Mareşal Çakmak, one set of streets is due to be off from 11:00 to 15:00 and another from 09:00 to 17:00.
